Money that finally makes sense.
Budgeting and spend tracking built for how Malawians actually manage money, not how a foreign banking app assumes you do.
For individuals and small traders
Lilongwe, Malawi · Serving the SADC region
From cybersecurity and networks to software, support and digital systems, Octet helps organisations work smarter, stay connected and stay protected.
Cybersecurity
A suspicious email. A reused password. A rushed decision at the end of a long day. Sometimes the biggest digital risk in an organisation begins with an ordinary moment.
We work with the people who handle your information every day, so the habits change before anything goes wrong. No jargon, no scare stories, just clear guidance your team can follow on a normal Tuesday.
What we do
Every service starts with the same question: what would make your work easier? The technical part is our job.
Security that fits how your team already works. We look at what you actually stand to lose, train the people who handle it every day, and put practical protection in place around them.
Offices, campuses and multi-site organisations that stay online. We design and install the connection your work depends on, then keep it stable as you grow.
Web, mobile and desktop tools shaped around your real process, not a template. From a till at the counter to the dashboard your manager checks every morning.
Hardware, servers and everyday support kept running quietly in the background, so a breakdown never turns into a lost day.
Practical digital and security skills taught in plain language, from a first spreadsheet to spotting a scam before it costs you.
Sensible automation and plain-language guidance on where these tools genuinely help, and where they are simply not worth the money yet.
Cameras and access control that put your premises in your pocket, so you can see who came in and when, from anywhere.
Why Octet
Technology designed around the people using it. If your team cannot use it on a busy Tuesday, it does not work, however good it looks in a demonstration.
Solutions built around real problems. We would rather fix the thing that is costing you money than sell you the thing that is easiest to sell.
Built in Malawi, for Malawi and the wider region. We know what the connection is like, what the phones can handle and how business here actually gets done.
We stay involved beyond the initial delivery. Most of our work comes from organisations we first helped years ago, which is the only reference that really counts.
Our products
These are ours end to end. We built them because the gap was obvious and nobody else was closing it.

About Octet
Octet Systems is a technology company working with businesses, schools, nonprofits and institutions across Malawi and the wider SADC region.
We started with a simple observation. Organisations here were being sold technology designed somewhere else, for a business that works nothing like theirs, and then left alone with it.
So we built a company that does the opposite. We begin by understanding the work, we keep the language plain, and we stay involved long after the handover. Every product on this site started as a problem we watched someone struggle with.

Both. We work with banks, nonprofits, schools, hotels, government-related organisations and professional bodies, and equally with small businesses, startups and individual entrepreneurs. The approach is the same: understand the work first, then decide what technology actually helps.

Yes. We build web, mobile and desktop tools shaped around your existing process rather than a template, from a till at the counter to a reporting dashboard, with payments and training included. Our own products started the same way, as problems we watched people struggle with.
Tell us what you are working on by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the first consultation is free. We will tell you honestly whether technology can solve the problem and what it would take.
